We’re thrilled to announce that the programme for the 2025 Govanhill International Festival and Carnival is now live! Join us for the annual anti-racist celebration of creativity, solidarity, and community.
You can also pick up a copy of the brochure from any Govanhill Baths’ space (Govanhill Baths office, The Deep End and the People’s Pantry). They’ll also be making their way to local community spots soon too.
Govanhill International Festival & Carnival is more than a celebration – it’s part of a 20+ year living campaign rooted in activism, health, culture and dignity. We’re excited to showcase our powerful Palestinian Solidarity programme, co-curated with Welcome to the Fringe: Palestine and Creative Neighbourhood Grants that put decision-making in the hands of local people, empowering the community to reclaim public space for joy, care and cultural resistance.

This year’s programme also features a dynamic mix of events, including Gaelic heritage workshops, thought-provoking exhibitions, a special conversation with Nicola Sturgeon, film screenings, cabaret and much more. There’s something for everyone as we mark the ninth year of GIFC, louder, prouder, and more deeply rooted in the neighbourhood we call home.
And this year, we’re taking it to the streets – the parade route moves from Queen’s Park to Govanhill Park, bringing all the concerts, workshops, and activities into the heart of the community, making the neighbourhood itself the stage. More info on the parade route can be found in the brochure.
